Just look at their bedtime stories:

I don't know what the deal is here but it's been like that for decades. Most of the good, gorey horror movies from the 70's, 80's and 90's are banned here. It's really stupid. And once a movie is banned, a label has to go to court to unban it if it plans to release the movie. That's been the case with the original 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'. That movie has been banned here for ages untill 2011 or 2012 when a small label went to court and got it unbanned. That of course costs a lot of time and money.
And even today movies still get banned here. The remake of 'I Spit on your grave' for example. Hell, Saw 7 was banned for a short while even. Etc, etc. . And now 'La Horde' of course. And interestingly enough it's old people who are against all those bloody movies, you know, to save us from becoming violent beings.. Which is kinda of funny...you know, it wasn't my generation that killed millions of people. As far as I know my generation has been one of the few seriously chilled out German generations. Wonder what horror movies Hitler consumed. *Sigh*.
