Ugh. I suck at making decisions. Especially ones like this.

I'd really like to get a smartphone. My current phone is 3-4 years old and the buttons are starting to get really bad. Even software is starting to do whatever is likes from time to time, like sending texts before they're finished. Another problem is that it tends to turn itself off whenever it feels like it, though it has been doing that for about 1

^ And using Whatsapp/Facebook will save us both a fuckload of money vs. texting. My bill's already shot up and we don't use text that often at all.

If you have WiFi at home and at work/college/internship place/other places you often hang out/toilet you won't really need to change your subscription. My smartphone is still running on prepaid subscription business I used for my previous (dumb) phone, because I'm only using WiFi for internet, not 3G. I may change my mind eventually, but I can decide on that later. For now the only investment I made was the smartphone itself. I've found most contracts which lease phones are often more expensive than just buying the smartphone yourself and finding a separate subscription matching your needs, but unless you can find a payment plan for a smartphone you'll need to invest a lot of money in one go.

The decision is what costs you the least amount of money as that's the limiting factor. Do your research with that, let go of the idea it has to be a fancy smartphone (but simply a phone of decent quality which meets your most important criteria, if you have any besides price)

That's a steep price for a soon 2 years old phone. You're not gonna get Android 4 for that one
