I guess you're right. I've thought a lot about how I compose too much on the basis of chord progressions anyway. Maybe now would be the time to leave it be as it is and think more about what else is in there...

Apple are great at that in recent years. Create a nifty bit of stuff and then some numpty decides to 'upgrade' it.
