Late for work, so already in shit, and in further shit because I had an asshole customer who was rather abusive, who I ended up hanging up on. However because he had a disability, I am the bad guy, even though I didn't get testy until towards the end, and even then I didn't shout at him or insult him; the fact I had a slight edge to my voice after a bombardment of abuse was enough. I also didn't resolve him quick enough. If I could have even got a word in, perhaps I could have. Fuck jobs.

My godson. Train Driver, Dev-head and huge Mass Effect fan.

Just happened this afternoon. Needless to say - he's somewhat shaken up. His first fatality.

It could have been a lot worse. The driver had just dropped off his kid at the Station before driving off and getting cleaned up by the Express.
He's a good kid, he'll bounce back. Unfortunate side-effect of the job.

I've seen waay too many torn-up co-workers, kids, elderly folk... And by "too many" I mean: to the point where it doesn't shock you any more. Incredible how the mind's defences work.

EVERY piece of equipment I needed to use today has broken down or is in service. Feels like I'm cursed.

Fortunately, weekend.

Man Dave, sorry to hear that. I can't imagine dealing with something like that. Especially when it was nowhere near your fault. Hope it gets easier for him.

As for my shit, thanks guys-- yeah, it sucked to hear, but I guess that's just the nature of the creative field. But stuff happens for strange reasons. Re-edited, and for the purpose of what the piece should be it's actually much stronger. Less "meaningful" and more "funny." I was initially shooting for meaningful but with a minute long simple intro format that's hard. But my professor kind of saw how ridiculous the whole thing was too, he just shook his head telling about the complaint before I showed him the edit. There's so many toes to step on it's hard not to sometimes.

Had my first dose of proper antibiotics in years today and it's knocked me sideways. Diarrhea is indeed a possible side effect, thank you mr information booklet. Too much info, sorry.

Been sick since before Christmas. Got some additional scans coming up this week so hopefully I'll have answers at long last.

I'm fucking done with moaning though and it's time to get well.

Just got a facebook message from mum
She's not doing so good. X-rays showed a little undeveloped dead puppy inside Amy. It won't come out by itself, so there will be an operation tomorrow. Then both the uterus and ovaries will be removed, because there's no way we'll try getting more puppies. Too bad, but the good thing is we won't have to deal with more maturities and imaginary pregnancies. She's full of milk and her fur is all stiff and sticky. When I try to comb it out I get very allergic. Probably something in her milk. So it'll probably go away again.

Amy is quite ill now, eating little and vomiting. So we'll have to do that operation as soon as possible. I kind of want another dog, but it'll have to wait a while. I've spent a fortune on Amy now, so it'll do for a while.

To be clear... this is Amy:

Quite frustrating being so far away from my dog back in Norway.

Parts of it I found quite funny though... It's just so typical home. : p

I'm sorry Faffs, I know how much that sucks. My three dogs are off with my parents and they just keep getting older. I dread the day I get a call that one of them is sick or, even worse, has to be put down.

I hope your dog gets better, Faffy.

My sister sent me a text this morning stating her dalmatian Lou is making a final trip to the vet tomorrow. He's been ill since November or so of last year, but has stayed strong, at least until now. She wanted me to come over tonight and say one last goodbye. I couldn't because I work until 11 tonight. She's had him for about 8 years now, so I do feel sad for her. I'm going to visit her when I have free time.

Thanks brahs <3

So... apparently things were kind-of worse... but I suppose it can only get better from here:
Amy's back home. Poor things, she's not doing too well, with a funnel around her head and walking unsteady. It was really good we had her examined on monday, because if we had waited to see if the puppy came, she might have died. There was a hole in her uterus, and her abdominal cavity was full of brown green fluid (amniotic fluid). The vet had never seen anyting like it, and had no idea how the hole could have occurred. Now she's on pain killers and antibiotics, so she'll be fine again. We also had the lump on her back removed.

My myyy...

We once had a dog had something like that happen. She'd gone into labour with pups that were too large to pass through the birth canal, sadly nobody noticed because she didn't show any signs and she was a farm collie so wasn't in the house at all to observe such things. By the time the vet opened her up her uterus pretty much disintegrated in his hands because it was decomposing along with the dead pups. One hysterectomy and oophorectomy later, plus antibiotics, and she was healthy again after a few weeks.

On the running theme of dogs, one of my bro inlaw's dogs died on Sunday while I was away, and my cousin's dog died on Saturday. Not a fan of dogs in general, but I loved those two to bits. Gay.
