The skill tree system is not complicated at all, kind of like in Borderlands. There's no hour long conversations, each character has his own specialties, there's plenty of looting to do. So maybe it's a game that you'd enjoy! Oh and you can play it with 3 friends cooperatively too! It's kind of like Borderlands meets a little bit of Fallout and a good portion of Left 4 Dead.
Dead Island has skill trees? I just saw a couple screenshots and assumed it was another zombie cut-'n'-shoot-'em-up. It actually sounds like it may be awesome, so I'll have a look. Not to derail the thread, but I thought I'd update on games I've played recently, and see what you guys thought about them.
Playing currently: Crysis 2, Uncharted 3, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl
Recently played: Crysis, BFBC2, HL2 (and Episodes 1 & 2), Portal 2, Bastion, Borderlands (duh), Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Uncharted 1 & 2, Left 4 Dead 2
Looking forward to playing: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, MGS HD Collection, L.A. Noire, Bioshock: Infinite, GTA V, Syndicate
It's easier to say that I didn't care for Uncharted 1 or Brotherhood than to name each of the other games that I loved. So far, Crysis 2 and Uncharted 3 have been pretty so-so. I'm more than halfway through Crysis 2, though, so I don't think that bodes well for it. I just started STALKER, but I have a feeling it's going to be a lot like my Fallout 3 experience, in that I'm just not RPG-savvy enough to do it right, so I end up underpowered and somewhat fucked. :/ Anyway, I'm so stoked about Skyward Sword this month. It feels like I'm 10 again. So, what are your thoughts about any/all of these games, dudes/dudettes? (Also, feel free to PM me if you want to play some vidja games; my Steam name is the same as this one).
