Don't bother. It's good to remember the golden rule: dirt 0,5cm thick is invisible, 1cm thick comes away by itself.

I wonder how much a 0,5cm thick layer of dirt on your skin would weight.

I'm 1.88m, plus I hadn't showered in 2 days, so yeah...it was noticeable, and a good idea. After coming back from a gig, soaked in sweat, booze and B.O. I can safely say it's been deliciously negated.

Contemplating whether or not I should just outright buy a Macbook Pro. Getting really tired of buggy and unstable recording software on Windows. Though I am not a fan of the price for a computer that, in the PC department would cost half as much.

Dooo eeeet!! I've had one for several years. I love it, and I don't even do music things. :P

That's the thing, I keep telling myself it will be totally worth it to have a good laptop, especially one that can provide more ease of use and a more stable platform for recording purposes. I'm just trying to find a way to justify to myself spending about $1300 with the fact that I still dont have a job...

Maybe try to check what's crashing your stuff first. I had that problem and discovered most crashes happen when using Syntedit-made plugins (it's a well known "feature" of synthedit libraries). Can't say that information helped in 100% - there's a ton of cool synthedit plugs (analog warfare, superwave P8 or DSK synths, voxengo or frettedsynth effects etc) and sometimes it's hard to avoid using some of them :)

I do have Voxengo on here, but never use it. Guess I'll get rid of that. Plus I'm really not liking how I have to crossfade every single clip I record over another one in Cubase 5...I've yet to figure out how to allow sound on sound recording.
