Don't bother. It's good to remember the golden rule: dirt 0,5cm thick is invisible, 1cm thick comes away by itself.

Maybe try to check what's crashing your stuff first. I had that problem and discovered most crashes happen when using Syntedit-made plugins (it's a well known "feature" of synthedit libraries). Can't say that information helped in 100% - there's a ton of cool synthedit plugs (analog warfare, superwave P8 or DSK synths, voxengo or frettedsynth effects etc) and sometimes it's hard to avoid using some of them
