There's loads of words pertaining to water which are lovely and onomatopoeic, most of which begin with 's'. I guess I can understand that. Listening to rain beating against the window seems to sound like "SSsSsSSSsSssSSSsSssssSssSssSSsSSSSssSssSSsS". I think a splash sounds more like "Pppsssssssh". And pouring water is sort of "whssssssssssssh"y. I vote it's named Sssssspppppssshwwwwhssssssh. Pronounced Spishwhish.
