Hell yes. For some reason, I've always loved a lot of the Russian composers, especially Rachmaninoff and Stravinsky. And Shostakovich--that man threw down some truly wicked tunes, even with Stalin at his throat.
Now, I think I'm going to switch gears and listen to a little Debussy...

Listen to the swedish band Freak Kitchen (if you didn't yet) you will get used to that kind of solos. Actually i found it very similar to the song Heroin Breakfast (by the band i just mentioned).
