And... it was ok. I still don't really know who this Tenacious D guy is and all this music made it hard for me to concentrate on the film, but apart from that it was not too bad, I guess... :nils:

Seriously, I really liked it (oooh, big surprise!). I have the album (click it before it bites you) for about one and a half months by now, and watching this movie for the first time but being able to sing along to most of the tunes at the same time was a cool experience. I wouldn't like the D as much if it was just for the comedy, but I think Jack Black and Kyle Gass are talented musicians, both as performers and as songwriters. Along with lots of cock-jokes, really funny (and creepy!) guest appearances by Ben Stiller and Tim Robbins, they couldn't go wrong. It's not as if there were hundreds of jokes that made me laugh out loud, but the whole idea behind the movie and Kage's and JB's acting is just... charming. I expected a funny, entertaining movie with great music. And I got that 100%.

In other words: Go and see it as soon as you can!

Pans Labyrinth and World Trade Center. Both were entertaining, but nothing special. I dun see why such a fuss was made over Pans Labyrinth.. there's nothing really great about it at all.

Ah yes. That was because it contained the word "soma" - a popular spambot product.

Seeing as spam is hopefully a thing of the past here - it has been rectified. :)

That wasn't spam!

...I just thought the RVP forums were the perfect place to sell the newest version of the Swedish Penis Enhancer.

Spirited Away: cute, kinda Japanese version of Alice in Wonderland.

Grave of the Fireflies: this one got me to tears. I was totally in a mood for such a story and when the little girl "never wakes up again" :(, man, so sad ... the relationship between brother and sister is also amazingly developed. Whenever you're in a mood for "how can life be from 'the other' perspective", I totally recommend this anime.

This intrigued me: yesterday I put on The Equilibrium, enjoy it more than the first time I saw it, then - randomly - I put on Fahrenheit 451 to see what was Moore referring to with his Fahrenheit 9/11, but what do I get? The same story as Equilibrium! I couldn't believe my eyes, what a coincidence. In Equilibrium they are destroying art because it makes people feel and in F451 they are burning books for the same reason! Trippy shit.
