Seriously, I really liked it (oooh, big surprise!). I have the album (click it before it bites you) for about one and a half months by now, and watching this movie for the first time but being able to sing along to most of the tunes at the same time was a cool experience. I wouldn't like the D as much if it was just for the comedy, but I think Jack Black and Kyle Gass are talented musicians, both as performers and as songwriters. Along with lots of cock-jokes, really funny (and creepy!) guest appearances by Ben Stiller and Tim Robbins, they couldn't go wrong. It's not as if there were hundreds of jokes that made me laugh out loud, but the whole idea behind the movie and Kage's and JB's acting is just... charming. I expected a funny, entertaining movie with great music. And I got that 100%.
In other words: Go and see it as soon as you can!
