I for one have become totally bored with computer consoles and games in general over the last 5 or so years. Nothing new has been brought to the table for so long that I see little point in investing in anything. If it isn't a sequel it is an upgrade. I gave up playing games on my PC long ago, and at the moment have none installed at all.
I don't consider more memory or better graphics to be any kind of innovation. I mean, what does the Xbox360 or PS3 do that the previous versions didn't do anyway? It will never end. In 5 years we will be pressured into getting an XBox 1080 and a PS4.
With the Wii (a very stupid name, I admit) at least they are offering something new. It may not appeal to everyone but for once it appeals to me. Who cares if the latest Fifa game won't be ported? There are going to be at least 3 or more other platforms to play these games on.
Should be fun.
Amen, although, if you had read my previous post, you'd know that ALL games can and will be ported, no problems there. Not that i'd miss FIFA

I agree with the lack of innovation and I'm tired of "gory" FPS that do nothing new, and racing games with slightly nicer cars. The only time i've been excited in recent years was the DS, games were made fun again and still are. With the DS Lite, Nintendo will guide all the idiots who need their looks before their games and will provide some new, exciting software.
There is NO doubt about this.
