This leak is officially all over the place. So all of you people who doubted Ian, were dumb. I'll post my thoughts on the album later tonight.
To all these guys who are either downloading the album, or downloaded it...
What is the point, guys?
you all claim to love Dev and his music so much, but if you guys had enough respect for him, you would wait.
To be honest, i definately would have been tempted to download it myself until i read Dev's post asking us not to download it.
I think i have a right to bring up this point since i downloaded Alien as soon as i got wind that it was out. Of course, i bought Alien (and with my nifty bonus dvd that came with it) but it did kinda ruin the experience of having that sudden blast of sound in my face when i threw the cd on.
Devin and the guys worked so damn hard on this album and it would kinda be a slap in the face to go ahead and download it against their wishes and even come so close as to bragging about it.
These guys dont make anywhere near enough money as they so rightfully deserve and downloading it doesnt help. For example, if you get Synchestra from a torrent or downlooad app then while your downloading it, your seeding parts of the files to other people so therefor, your just helping spread this album to more people, and the whole "im just getting it for personal listening" argument isnt so valid.
Im truly dying to hear this album but i already know that getting the cd will be way worth it in the end.
Trust me, i never used to think like this. once upon a time, i was a p2p pirate.
I'm not getting shitty at any of you guys in particular, im just stating my opinion.

Just because I download an album, doesn't mean I like Devin or appreciate his work any less. I buy everything he releases the day it comes out and I have multiple t-shirts, been to multiple concerts etc. Don't generalize.

Huge tipoff. Sorry, Dev. I'll buy a t-shirt *and* a sticker.
No way! I'll download the t-shirt picture, print it and stick it to my chest!

generalize? calm down, dude
as i said in my post, i prolly would have downloaded it too if Dev hadn't have asked us not to download it. im merely trying my best to respect his wishes

Have you always been a mod? I just now noticed....duh for me!
It's a relatively new thing, don't panic.

It is pathetic.....any chance you lot could keep the asking to Private Messages?

Thanks! Check my registration date, please, and search my first post.
Sorry for not being reliable as I am not one of the "regulars"...
OK....this was inevitable.
A leak would happen. It sucks, IMO, but that's the way things work.
All I can say, is that we worked extremely hard on this album and are very proud of it. If you download the album cool.....just buy it when it's released and help support Dev and the DTB.
Buying the album, a T-Shirt or anything Dev related that is official, is what helps get us out on the road to play this stuff for you as well. If it's all downloaded, we're pretty much screwed. Labels need to see sales in order to help push us onto to tours like the Opeth tour that we're trying to confirm and get on. All this stuff goes hand in hand....
In the end, I know we got a pretty amazing fan base and the fact that you all are pretty loyal.
A couple last things though....
If you download it, enjoy it, it is an amazing album but please stick to the thread that was created for discussing it. Don't ruin it for other people who will wait it out to the official release.
Don't post links to any leak ! Listen to the MOD's....it would suck to get banned from here.
Lastly, I can't say this enough. If you want to download the album....cool BUT if you truly want to support us, buy the album when it comes out. Plus, you'll get to see the amazing artwork that comes with it and a cool DVD of the band as well.
That's all I have to say about the matter. You all kick ass and in the end we (The DTB) you know how supportful you fans are, even if you download the album or not ! If you can, wait for the official release......it''ll be that much better with the CD artwork and DVD, trust me
Take care everyone,
RVP
