How is Kingdom Of Heaven? I didn't hear a lot of great things from the critics about it, but then again, I don't usually listen to them. :)

Kingdom Of Heaven is excellent. It's good to see Orlando Bloom playing a bit of a badass in this one. He was such a complete puss in Troy it made me hate him a bit! Hahaha. I love historical epics/dramas/whatever. Alexander is also good, not nearly as bad as people say. Plus Rosario Dawson and Angelina Jolie get totally naked, which is always welcome.

I just got in the mail my what will probably be my last two CDs for a long time since I just bought a house:

Cellador - Leaving All Behind (EP)
Charlotte Martin - Veins (EP)

I'm sad. :(

I love historical epics too, so I will definitely watch it. Plus, Jeremy Irons is in it. 8)

Did you put that in your Recent Purchases? A house? That's a pretty big purchase! Congratulations!

And, to add... Christmas presents.

A coffee maker (Cuisinart) and a computer photo printer for my wife. An iPod nano for my daughter. Roxio Toast for me.

I hate hate hate historical epics. None of them are good films, but some of them have good parts. Oliver Reed was excellent in Gladiator, but i couldn't BELIEVE that Russell Crow got an Oscar. FOR WHAT? Being a monotone straightfaced fighting guy? Piss off. I also disliked Troy quite intensely although i loved Peter O' Toole's performance and Eric Banner's performance was excellent, not Brad "the bigger the budget the less interesting i am" Pitt. I didn't like Kingdom Of Heaven either, mainly because i couldn't find anything in it to like particularly. I didn't dislike it so much as found it dull. And i really don't like Liam Nielson. I didn't even bother with Alexander.

I haven't seen any of the 3 at all yet.

If they're crap, they were only $40 for all of 'em...so, no great loss.

Troy was OK. It wasn't the greatest, but I agree about Eric Banna's performance. I can't wait to see Munich. That's going to be a tear-jerker.

Alexander I probably won't watch. I didn't hear anything good about it, and Oliver Stone's reasons as to why no one else liked it were ridiculous. Gosh...maybe it's just a BAD movie.

Maybe we should start a movie thread.

Watching Alexander hurt my eyes almost as much as eating haggis would possibly hurt my taste.
