Guess that The Death of music will never be done live that way...it's...much too long for a live gig.

- Definately the 5.1 mix!
- Maybe audio-commentary like on the VAI-dvd?
- Some lessons about your guitar-tuning and vocal techniques?
- A trip thru your home-studio and the onstage set up
- Interviews with all band members
- Extra new unplugged show (maybe 30 minutes)
- The making of "Devlab" documentary :-)
- Tracy's daily work at the Dev-shop, cleaning the basement etc.
- of course ALL DTB video's, remixed in 5.1 sound
- rehearsal footage
- fan interviews
- a drive with Dev thru Canada about the landscape that inspire(d) him..

need more ideas? :-)

Devin that is great news man. Basically If I have footage of Deep Peace live then I will die a happy man!

Some stuff about Phycist would also rule

Thanx man :)

Maybe we should have a setlist discussion thread or something.

This sounds amazing. Devin you will definatly have to start putting Physicist songs in the DTB set (I miss them). I think having an audio CD of the gig is a really good idea. Word.

This studio coverage is a great idea!

Besides that an extensive really epic interview with Dev is a must. Maybe two interviews if it's too exausting to do one long one ;)

AND lots of backstage tour, band rehearsal stuff and etc. ;)

That would really make it the best DVD ever :)

 Yowza!!! Awesome! I suggest encouraging all fans able to come to the show to bring their own video camera. Inside Out could pay for the tape and these can be used within the overall edit. Fans can shoot their whole night of the DTB show experience incl things like: trying to sneak back stage, taking a dump, stepping outside for a "smoke", puking, fighting, getting busted etc.

i have a smaaaaall suggestion. i do enjoy live albums much, however i do have a small beef with live albums that aren't a gig in its entirety (i.e. one song performed at one venue, then the next track at a different venue, you get what i mean). so if we could just have a whole gig, that would kickass. with MUCH Dev banter.

um, word on this one. just include the whole show, comments, farts and all.

and, perhaps you really should put mics on the ceiling ;)

and as far as a really kickass packaging, InsideOut put together some really awesome packages for the latest TRANSATLANTIC and THE FLOWER KINGS box sets. I think those would be perfect for your collection here.

and if you could have at least one burning human body on the set of SYL, that would be awesome. thanks

Awesome news! :D
As far as I'm concerned, I care about the documentary type stuff the most (studio and backstage footage, interviews, rehearsals/soundchecks, behind the scene stuff, etc.). Also, a shitload of S&R stuff would rule!
I can't wait!
