A washing machine.

Wisecracks aside, I tend to wash only with cold. My other clothes don't seem to be affected by this (other than being cleaned, that is).

Hmm....I usually wash my shit at 40c in Bold, no special treatment (except I do separate blacks, colours and whites...I'm a laundry racist). I honestly don't have a clue what you're doing with them!

I'm an equal opportunities launderer. I even wash girls clothes along with boys clothes!

I'm also a laundry racist, although I do allow grays with whites.
I don't know what it is that's causing the frays, either. Oh well.

And now for something completely different.
Just had a phone interview for a position I applied for a couple of weeks ago, and was completely stumped when they asked me "What do you know about our organization?" The only thing that came out of my mouth were guess-like quotes from the summary of the online job ad. I didn't mention I had practically forgotten as at this point I had presumed they had given my application the flick. There's a chance I might have an interview next week though, so I'm going to refresh my memory.

^I wish it was acceptable to tell people in an interview: "I'm tired of being poor and I want to work hard." and that would just be acceptable. I find it profoundly annoying when you have to pour *spam* all over your resume and spew new age bullshit about how inspirational the company is, just to titillate their egos enough to hire you. Makes me so mad sometimes. Hopefully that doesn't happen to you this time around, you deserved a job long before now.

On a lighter and more random note: when Paul posts 35 more times, his total count will be my birth year. I don't know why my eyes noticed this, but thus is the purpose of this thread in the first place. :P

While the major con of being self employed is the crippling fear of a month without work, one of the perks is that I decided to bring my Saturday forward to tomorrow for an impromptu day out at Alton Towers with one of my best buddies (who's also the fire eater from Retinal!), except we leave at 5am and it's currently 2am, I am wide awake. I can sleep on The Smiler though.

When Joan Rivers goes, you know it's a dying year. She said some bloody awful things but she made me laugh. Saw her in Vegas in '11 and she was pretty funny.
Celebs aside, the way things are headed with IS, things aren't going to get peaceful any time soon.

It's warm enough here for water pistol fights (30c yesterday), so I've loaded up the guns and I'm about to head outside with the boy. Just me, a 2 1/2 year old, 10 acres and an obscene tactical disadvantage. Should be fun.

There have been quite a few memorable deaths, especially of comedians. I just hope that if there are any more deaths this year, that they are of natural causes and not tragedies.

I read earlier Richard Kiel (best known as Jaws) also just passed away. RIP.

Yeah, famous people, IS, Ebola and even family (mine and some of our fellow members) among other events - doom seems to be cropping up a lot more this year than previously noticed.

It's been one week. One week and the house is starting to smell like sweat again. Is this really happening? Is this some kind of a joke? I refuse to believe that I have to remind a grown man to shower regularly. How is this possible? How does one live 20years without realising they smell like shit? Jesus christ...

It wouldn't excuse the lack of hygiene, but do they have a poor sense of smell? Might contribute to their ignorance.

I'm guessing if they're used to smelling like a tramp then maybe they can't tell when they are smelling like a tramp? It won't just be you smelling him though, every single person he interacts with will feel that way. It's pretty much disrespectful to the public.

I know someone who tries as hard as hard as most, but a combo of no sense of smell , overactive sweat glands and people around them being too scared to say something leaves them sometimes.

Then again my son told me I was smelly yesterday. Given that he doesn't mind the smell of shit, I took it as the two year old's joke it was meant to be (I hope!).
