I thought the reboot was better. The sequel's setpieces, acting and action were great but the dialog and writing were fucking laughable and juvenile. I realize I SHOULDN'T expect more of this kinda pop film, but I do. It's been proven it can be done better, and this summer has been mostly weak.

Looking forward to Pacific Rim only.

I'm gonna see it next Thursday; thinking on the Xtreme Screen in the city, since it's not far from work.

If given a choice between going to work on Monday, or staying at home with an aching head, coughing up phlegm and trying to prevent your nose from dripping everywhere, I would choose the former.

So, I was bored and on Wikipedia and I noticed that not only is Pacific Rim is getting a sequel, but the next Godzilla reboot is coming out next year.
Not sure whether to be excited by both events or roll my eyes and turn off the computer. It's probably better to be somewhat interested and watch it unfold.

There's actually talk of a Pacific Rim vs. Godzilla type thing, which if Godzilla goes well, I'm down. I was OBSESSED with Godzilla as a kid, so I hope there's not a repeat of the last reboot.

yeah, let's please keep Roland Emmerich out of it. Let's just keep him out of all movie productions!

Well, Bryan Cranston is in the new Godzilla, so that should give the film some credibility as far as toxic chemicals are concerned. I think.

Anyway, it feels colder in my office than it does outside. Never thought I'd say that.

At work we were discussing Japan and one colleague didn't know that it's an island... kinda dumb until we started talking about geography and another colleague said "We're the country in the shape of a boot right?"
