I'm filling out an electronic medical form that's been written in Comic Sans... if I rectify this do you think they'll throw my file in the recycle bin?

It's funny that a slow computer and/or system can gradually turn a rational person into a raging baboon. Well, I suppose it's to be expected the more technology is sold to be faster and improved.

I should sleep.

I'm really wondering what gives with Firefox.

Admittedly, I'm still running the last Firefox 3 version (3.6.28), and I think updating might as well solve the issue, but still... Anyone else have trouble with Firefox randomly going into a weird choppy-mode? I'm talking about momentarily hanging very second or two. Just had a bout of that after having Firefox running for almost the whole day. Thought it was because of running continuosly for a long time. I quit Firefox and restart. Same thing still going on. I restart the whole computer. STILL choppy as hell. I try starting up in safemode, still being choppy. And it's everywhere. Youtube videos, animated gifs, scrolling pages, even typing text.
After that, I finally think it's time to give in and go to download the current version and thinking about the hassle I have to go through to tweak it like I want it, like getting to use the good old google image search, and Firefox 2 style tab behaviour without those bullshit scroll arrows. (I absolutely want my tabs to shrink down to the freakin' favicon! Believe or not, that's one thing the recent Internet Explorers got right). I start up the installer and notice a check box for "Mozilla background updates." Not knowing what it is, I start FF to Google. And, lo and behold, the choppiness is gone as mysteriously it began... :-?

Guess I should really update this thing since I got it sitting on my destop now. But damn that extra tweaking the recent version requires to behave and look like the old...
And btw, I wonder if I'm in the minority for thinking their decision to follow Google Chrome in their version numbering is just pointless and ridiculous?

/tech rant over

I hate browsers in general these days. Firefox 17 made my computer shut itself off randomly...I mean, can you believe that? Stopped doing FF ever since. That's Firefox, not fisting, heh.

And my new 3D TV is sweet. Watched the intro of Prometheus in 3D...almost died. Better than in theater.

I went to two double features two Mondays in a row. Both were awesome, plus it wasn't as cold getting home tonight as it was last week (4 degrees versus 14). Last week I saw Jaws and Jurassic Park, tonight was The Thing (John Carpenter's) and An American Werewolf in London.

Yeah, I already have all four movies (on various formats), but so what, nothing quite compares to seeing them on the big screen; plus the film prints for each had been remastered, making them all the better.

They're showing the two J.J. Abrams Star Trek films on Thursday. As I haven't seen either, I figure for $12, why not.

Now who doesn't like Windows updates switching to automatic on their own? :D

Seriously. What the shit? :x I remember perfectly well putting the settings into "notify when updates are available," and now they were on full auto again. And IE 9 had conveniently updated itself to IE 10. The idea's good, that people would have their system up-to-date and secure, but when it's Microsoft updates we're talking about, I'd rather stick to those "notify me - let me choose what to do" settings, thank you very much.

While on the subject of random thoughts, I went checking out some headphones yesterday, mainly looking to perhaps get some better earbuds. Sseems hard, as the in-ear plug type is the majority nowadays, and I've never quite liked those. Too much isolation for my taste, can't hear my thoughts, instead I hear my lungs and blood flow... Anyway, while in one store, I saw and tested these new Marshall Monitors.

Quite expensive they are, though. Guess I got some savin' to do.

I nearly stepped on a dead possum walking home tonight. My foot landed about a centimeter from it's head, and I wouldn't have even noticed had I not randomly looked down. Go figure.

I thought the reboot was better. The sequel's setpieces, acting and action were great but the dialog and writing were fucking laughable and juvenile. I realize I SHOULDN'T expect more of this kinda pop film, but I do. It's been proven it can be done better, and this summer has been mostly weak.

Looking forward to Pacific Rim only.

got new glasses, now I got LSD vision. Has been 10 years since I got my last glasses and my eyes got quite a bit worse since then. Man, it'll take forever to get used to the new glasses.

My pee was orange this morning. It concerned me at first, but then I remembered I had a raspberry lemonade and beet chips the night before at the movies, so I decided to wait. Sure enough, the other leaks I've taken today we're all a healthy, faded yellow.

It's amazing what digestion of certain foods will do.

Sorry, TMI?

I frequently get freaked out by stuff like that after forgetting that I ate or drank stuff that can have that effect!

My pee was a golden hue this morning, in celebration of Andy Murray winning Wimbledon.

Mon the Murray!! Oh wait, he did.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshines!

I must remember that, despite my love and high tolerance of extremely hot chili, to not add too much hot sauce to a dish that's already meant to be extra hot without taking a bite of it first. Particularly if said hot sauce is made from jolokia.
