I like to think of Australia as an alternative universe. So, when you were born in Scotland, you had already been born for several hours in Australia.

Good luck! I try that every now and again but the urge for chocolate is too strong for me.
In personal abstinence news today I made the decision after 2 and a half years of not smoking to pick up an electronic cigarette in the hope it'll ease my current unhappiness. Unfortunately I haven't had that snap-decision kind of moment as I've ordered it online and now must wait 3-5 days for delivery. The temptation to nip out and buy some proper cigarettes in the meantime is immense but I've fought it so far.
Later edit: and now I've smoked 3 actual cigarettes and intend to continue until my e-cig gets here. Well done Nicholas, you addicted idiot.

So much for my "no chocolate, et al" restrictions, had home-made cookies made as part of a food day our department's having. Oh well, I'll still try to reduce my intake.

God, just watching the footage on Monday-- horrifying. And I think the saddest thing is, really, not even a MARATHON is safe anymore? It's just such a sad statement.
