Got into a chat about Dev with some guy at a bar last night.
One of those typical "SYL is the only good stuff, the rest is boring" people... and he also felt like he "put on" his whole 'deep thinking', bipolar stuff.
He seemed to think I'd be in agreement before we started talking about it. Needless to say, the conversation died out pretty quickly.

It's funny how some people are like that. One of my best friends whinges to the ends of the earth when I put SYL on, but last night he told me he was listening to Terria on youtube to see what it's all about and accidentally listened to the whole album thinking it was just one song, and didn't even notice that over an hour had passed because he enjoyed it so much.
Most of the people I've met who like Dev at all tend to be pretty open minded and appreciate most or all of his stuff, but that being said I don't approach random people in bars to talk about it, either.Another good friend of mine attends a dedicated (read: crazy expensive) institute of sound engineering and says there are tons of Dev heads in his classes, but I have yet to meet anyone in my similar course who even knows who he is.
