Absolutely floored me.

What's this? New Anathema?

I was so sure that it would take them years to get anything new done that I didn't pay any attention to them at all.

Edit: ps. Biert did I ever tell you that I met Danny the day after the gig and had him call one of my friends back home :D The guy is made of awesome.

Jesus H. Christ. I remember I bought Serenades years ago and absolutely hated it and never gave Anathema a second chance. When the hell did they change from doom to this kind of stuff? That song is gorgeous...

Mark, they've come a long long way.

Still the finest pop metal song ever made, and if we were going one song per artist, my #3 song of all time.

My thoughts exactly.

(not that I hate Serenades... I just... get bored by "typical doom" very easily)

Been revisiting Riverside's "Anno Domini High Definition". Holy crap, what a great album. The stand-alone songs are great but I recently discovered several recurring themes in the different songs (sometimes with only slight variations), which ties the whole thing together so neatly. Appreciating this album more with every listen. :D
