That's kind of why I'm thinking about an entirely different format for next year's tournament. In the NCAA Tournament that this is inspired from, it is virtually unheard of to put two teams from the same conference in a path against each other until at least the Sweet 16, if not later. So I'm thinking about scrapping the "regional" format, or massively modifying it.

hmmm my suggestion for next year would be to pair up chronologically (oldest vs newest and working inward) something from ocean machine vs. ghost; city vs. decon; infinity vs. addicted etc. until we get to alien vs. synchestra or whatever it works out to be. may need to be revised to include epicloud and whatever else comes out next year but you get the idea. that way songs from the same album will never be paired up until the last couple of rounds

With a little over a day left, Feather and Terminal are still tied. Will more voters step up to break this tie, or are we going into overtime?

I had it listed as my #4 song from Alien. It's really grown on me over the last few months.

Deep Peace, Deadhead, Funeral, Death of Music, Bastard, Terminal, Ki, All Hail the New Flesh, Almost Again, Skeksis and Shitstorm... These are all favourites of mine currently winning their match-ups. Disappointed Seventh Wave and Numbered look to be on the way out, but still... Lots of things left in that I love. Picking for the next round is gonna suck BAWLLS.

The only matchup I am going to have ANY difficulty in picking is Feather/Terminal vs. Ki. The rest are really easy for me (although most of them are probably going to lose).

I had to make some changes to the polls; for some idiot reason, I listed The Mighty Masturbator as the #9 seed. When I tried to correct it, I took out the Deadhead/Triumph poll by mistake O_o

But everything should be fixed.

The SYL battles that are left are gonna be really close, I'd say. Not a lot between Skeksis and Shitstorm, and All Hail the New Flesh vs Almost Again should be very interesting... Both have them have absolutely owned their competition so far so I'd say that one is gonna be seriously tight!
