Spare a thought for the competition, and let's help Napalm Death get rid of Swashbuckle as well.

No one else doing this to this magnitude. I put my one vote in and that's all I'm comfortable with.

They didn't. Dev pretty much sinched it.

I just don't want want Swashbuckle to win as their fans troll-vote worse than us.

So apparently Devin is out of it now. http://www.thrashmag.com/articles/content.aspx?id=13497

How did that happen with you lot putting the votes in? Oh, well... Too bad I couldn't vote at all. None of the remaining bands really mean much to me. I mean, sure I'd be fine with Iron Maiden or Megadeth winning, but who would that serve? Seriously speaking, we really have no need for an another article written about one of those bands. If Swashbuckle wins, that's the ultimate troll. I bet they suck.

Strange.

A few people in the comments were pissed. They probably spited us back. Twas to be expected, and honestly it's fine, I'd rather Devin not be remembered for having annoying ballot stuffing fans :P

Not sure, I wasn't checking it prior to closing however it could be a Browser cache issue on your end?

In total the results were:
Devin Townsend Project 2070 votes (45%)
Megadeth 2569 votes (55%)

We use a tool called micropoll. The only other thing I could think of is when you shut down a poll Micropoll goes through all the votes and removes any from the same IP to remove multiple votes from a single browser. I don't know specifics on how this works, more to weed out people who clear there browser cache, and vote multiple times. The actual poll, until closed, shows this result.

Hope this helps and I hope you keep voting in it even if DTP got removed (they were up against a big act).

Ooooh :P

Well, this served its purpose. Either way, maybe some new people checked some things out.
