Hahah I'm sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but actually, the very second reply with 33 likes is (loosely translated) "Anything but him!", and the following "If Devin is there I'll rape him with a guitar" (what?). The other posts mentioning Dev are also commenting on how he's been there too many times already. Anyway, the festival is always fun, even if the line-up isn't too impressive so far

bwahahahahahaha, that's rather hilarious. I think my translator said something entirely different (something like "No time again" or something really dumb...way to go, google/bing).

Well, fuck them. ;P I'll find Devin Townsend in Europe this summer if it kills me. I just hope Tuska busts out some kickass lineup action during FME.

Paul (or anyone for that matter) probably wouldn't know that far in advance, besides two years in a row for one band is one thing, but three is very unprofessional of festival organisers.

Why is that unprofessional? If an artist consistently manages to draw people to a festival and give a great show, why not?

Not being bashful or anything, it's a genuine question.

Well, Tuska has tried to keep a policy of not booking the same bands for two years in a row. People appreciate diversity, so I guess this applies to most festivals.

Helsinki is not a huge town, and Tuska has a more-or-less loyal core audience. The choices for the line-up are then made according to how well they please these people, and not about trying to draw a new crowd (there is no new crowd who wouldn't be familiar with the festival). Last year I heard a lot of complaining about Devin being there again after playing two sets the previous year, and taking up a headlining slot which could have been used for something more interesting (in their opinion)

I guess we'll see. As long as I see him SOMEWHERE in Europe (excluding the UK, which I refuse to go to because the currency rate between the dollar and the pound is still fucking awful) this summer, I'll definitely be satisfied.

I'm gonna be very surprised if he'd show up at tuska this year aswell, like the guy said, alot of complaints last year. I didn't complain, it was great as hell to see Devin up there. But we'll see...

I wouldn't mind seeing him at Tuska either, although a club gig would be even better!

Devin Townsend confirmed for not playing at Tuska this year. I hope this isn't the full lineup, because this is pretty mediocre so far.
