Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

God is an Astronaut. The more I listen to them the more impressed I am, they have a beauty and a groove that really sets them apart from other post-rock/metal bands.

YES! I love them. All the "hipsters" like Explosions In The Sky but God is an Astronaut is wayyy better.

I only have the All Is Violent, All Is Bright album by them (GiaA), I love it when I'm in the mood, but I rarely am in the mood. I'd like to hear more of them though. Got any suggestions for another album by them?

The End of the Beginning is probably their next best and the title track is definitely one of their best songs. All Is Violent, All Is Bright is that little bit above the rest, in my opinion. Their latest two releases,God is an Astronaut and Age of the Fifth Sun, have some excellent stuff on them as well though. I'd highly recommend seeing them live if you ever get the chance. I've seen them loads of times and every show has been consistently topping the previous one. Had a pint with them before one of the gigs two years ago too, lovely bunch of lads!

A Winged Victory for the Sullen - A Winged Victory for the Sullen - We Played Some Open Chords and Rejoiced, for the Earth Had Circled the Sun Yet Another Year

Very Red Sparowes-y ridiculously long song title.

And Xerath. So much Xerath. Oh, and Skindred. "Days Like These" is just perfect right now.

Shining. After seeing them in November and not quite being able to process how good they were, I didn't know what to do. I tried listening a few times, and it was still just slightly alien to me. Now, the shell has cracked, I've found a few grooves in each track of live blackjazz that I can zero in on if I find myself overwhelmed. Fully on board with our ginormous Norwegian overlords.

And on a second note, SPAWN MORE OVERLORDS.
