The place to speak about Dev's current projects, and everything yet to come

So, despite my work based technology issues, I was the sort of person who had the whole order process completed before the clock even hit 9.01am 8)

£200 doesn't half feel steep for VIP! I probably wouldn't have at any rate but when I'm ordering for 2 other people that I can't just say, 'oh hi, I'm going to fuck off now because I spent more money'. Nor can I afford to pay VIP for 3 people. So, standard it is! Either way, I'm going to see an amazing show, and that's all I really ask for!

I totally agree. I'd love to have VIP tickets, but even if I could afford them, I don't think I'd enjoy abandoning my friends at the door and standing amongst strangers for the entire gig! Even if they were nice strangers! (Which, from my experience with the London shows, is a roughly 50/50 chance.)

I could see Devin pulling the ultimate Devy-troll. Imagine: Gene, Jed, and Byron join Devin on stage. The crowd goes insane, starts chanting SYL SYL! Devin raises his metal \m/ horns high and launches into...

Namaste

Edit: sorry f someone else mentioned this already, but I'm on my phone and checking the whole thread would be difficult.

Well, I've always been told that it's rude to decline such offers, and far be it from me to be rude to a visitor to these shores!

Thought about it for a few days, examined some of the comments earlier on in the thread, and come to this conclusion.
Look UK, you guys just got 4 special shows, and that's cool, but in the US/Canada we've gotten nothing. Even if we got 1 special show that would be great, but we've only gotten opening and headlining tours. We were told middle of the year there would be a possibility of a NYC surprise which was to occur later in the year, which ended up being pushed possibly to next year, and we've heard nothing about it since, which leads me to believe it's not happening at all.
I've been to 7 shows over the past 2 years and I have friends how have been to at least 5 that don't post on this board. So to say Dev isn't popular enough in the US or Canada to warrant a special show is kind of crap to me.

Going thru school and work just barely scraping by it's hard to spring for tickets and airfare and hotel accommodations to another continent.

Not trying to piss on anyone, just wondering why we can't have pie too

It's not just that Dev sells more albums, merchandise, and tickets over there (he does), but it is also a lot more cost-efficient. Plus, his management is based over there, as well. The money for these shows is very limited, and they are dependent on big, positive turnouts. Yes, Dev could sell out a show like this here, but wouldn't be as cost-efficient, and he'd probably come out of it deep in the red.

I think Dev's working on it:

At a guess, the retinal circus stuff was announced way early (hence the lack of any real detail as to what will be there) so that everyone who went to this set of London shows could be told about it. There may be all kinds of things planned for the US that aren't announced yet but will happen before the retinal circus show.
