Each time this topic comes up, my response is different.

Off the top of my head it's the 'glory to the brave' part in Poltergeist. Dun dun dun AAH dun dun dun AAH...

I'm listening to Gaia at the moment, the opening riff blows me away like nothin' else.

Ha, nice. That's why I made the thread title 'at the moment' because your favorite section are always changing.

I'm really on a Terria kick right now, and especially enjoying the Canada, Down and Under, The Fluke combo.

I can definitely dig some Gaia especially the section starting at 2:30. That super low note that Devin hits (on the guitar) at 2:49 is super sexy. One of my favorite Synchestra moments.

YES. YES I SO AGREE.

Lately, I've really been digging the part in Stand that suddenly rips into the really heavy chords. Around 2:44, after he breathes "Ready..?" I always get a huge surge of adrenaline. I never noticed this the first few times I listened to Stand, but after hearing Mikael, to quote one Decon review, "breathe black death," around 3:41, and hear the choir singing "thou now behold us: the souls of those who anger overcame," I always get this really... cathartic flood of aggression... hard to describe, but it makes me feel super awake :)

Gah, so jealous of everyone going to the Deconstruction show tomorrow. It's going to rain musical diarrhea in London.

This is literally impossible to answer, so just off the top of my head - the 'wandering soul of mine' passage in Pandemic. Seriously the most immense thing I've ever heard... it's like the soundtrack to two suns colliding with each other.

For me, there have been a lot of moments that I really love in Dev's songs, of course.

But lately, I've been getting this urge to listen to ghost, more so than ever. Its grown on me, especially when the nice and soothing parts kick in. One big example is Texada. The whole song is just one big relaxing "mindtrip". Never really hit me until one day, when I was driving early in the morning. The atmosphere and the mood of the song just fitted in perfectly.

More to the point, Texada's half way point 4:41 and onwards is my favourite moment for now. Because it gets to this point where you can easily close your eyes and imagine something dreamy and spiritual going on in your head :) .

Last night at the Unplugged show.

Sitting on stage with a bunch of others and suddenly thinking "I'm sitting on stage singing along to Christeen about a foot away from Devin. How the hell did THAT happen!?"
