Only £29?! This looks like it would definitely be worth looking in to! Although I have a week in London for the special shows afterwards. GAH, so much money!
Who wants to buy me a plane ticket to the UK? That's suuuuch a great lineup, I love Ulver, Godflesh, Evile, God is An Astronaut and of course DTP... Argh!!
Yeah, this deserves a bump. Wonderful festival. Doubt you'll ever see Godflesh followed by Devin at any other show on the planet. Three stages. From what I gather... Main-Dev, Godflesh, Evile, Turisas Second-Ulver, Decapitated, Doom (UK Crust punk, not the other Doom), Shining (Nor), Dragged into Sunlight, Alter of Plagues, A Man Called Catten (playing Medulla Nocte) Third-God is an Astronaught, Amplifier (seriously, check out their self-titled album!), Astrohenge Plus more to come... No idea where Xerath with be. The aim is for the headliners (Dev, Ulver and GIAA) to only clash by ten minutes each).
...I'm not gonna go cause the album shows are hemorrhaging dinero constantly. But fu-yeeeeeeah Damnation headliner!!! Our favourite sticky Canadians are heading up in the world!
I have to go. I am going. The last I knew Godflesh had broken up? And what is this! I need to get with the times more obviously. Ulver, a beyond incredible band. Those two and I would have gone just for the epicness of two such unique bands together. DTP seals the deal.
I haven't heard of any of the other bands, last year they had a bunch of bands I kinda like but wouldn't have gone for. Any heads up which ones are really worth looking into? I'll probably try to listen to one or two songs and see who I like so I don't miss out.
Edit: I'd totally wet myself if I got to meet Broadrick or Garm :3

The Line up is so good, gonna be a hell of a weekend for me in Leeds, This, Fozzy (another of Canadas favourite sons) and dare I say it, Manowar on the Friday night
I went ahead and listened to all the bands, then got sidelined by the Swedish Shining. Kind of.... Wish they were there instead! They sound insane. GIAA and Altar of Plagues really gripped me, got a lot of new listening to do it seems.
Funny you say that about Broadrick doing acid watching Eraserhead, because the atmosphere in a lot of the songs reminds me of that freaking film. Silencing the Singing songs do too, mind. Lynch is brilliant, and I guess this is surrealist music? The vocal effect on Streetcleaner is beyond my ability to describe, I just tried a few times and failed... I guess the definition of hellish vocals? It was the first song by Godflesh I heard, since I found them through ISIS's cover of the same song. Then there is Frail, like the exact opposite, ethereal soft vocals. I haven't listened to Godflesh in a long time and I'd forgotten just how amazing the songs were. Can't believe I'm going to get to see Godflesh right before a DTP set O.O
