The place to speak about Dev's current projects, and everything yet to come

Well, we up in the frozen north are still waiting to hear when we're going to get our taste of the DTP headline experience. Hopefully we'll get some news next week. To pass the time I thought I'd see how many other Canadian fans are on here, and where you are hoping for them to announce.

I'm hoping for Victoria, BC to be on there. I'm originally from the UK and moved to Canada 7 years ago. Back then Dev didn't seem to come to the UK much, and I thought that when I moved to Canada, it might increase my chances of catching his solo show. We got SYL here for a gig about 5 year ago, but so far no Devy solo show. Now the UK seems to get gigs all the time though, wouldn't you know it!

Every time he does a gig in Vancouver, I either seem to be unemployed, or having some sort of family crisis, and so can never afford the trip, which comes to a couple of hundred dollars once you factor in the ferry trip, bus and hotel. And guess what? I just got laid off from work again, just when he's about to announce a new tour. I think I am cursed.

I have bugged dev a couple of times about it on Twitter, but I now he really doesn't have much say in where he goes. I've also tried drumming up some local support by getting friends to email the big local tour promoters to book him. They said they'll see what they can do, so fingers crossed.

Oh, I think he'll definitely do Van. Last time though was at a club at East Hastings & Maine. So not only was it not all ages, there's also a 95% chance you'll get mugged by a crackhead while leaving the venue :)

That kinda sucks, as many mid-sized bands tend to do gigs in bars and clubs. I never really thought about age restriction thing before. Time to get a fake ID :D

has he ever been booked in Fredericton? ever? there's a rather large metal community here who'd probably embrace a DT gig, especially if it was one of very few occurring in the Maritimes (which seems likely, if this end of the country ends up on the tour at all).

Moncton would make more sense as a sort of hub for the region. And Halifax is biggest city around here so these are probably the most likely places.
