Another Townsend gig?
Another one of the mist epic nights of my life
got to hang out with Violet + Nick + Faffy + Mika, walked about 15 miles in total (I stayed over for the night, and uhm... Was too late to book the Travelodge near the front and yeah... Long walk with too much to carry) met some more awesome Dev fans (who I hope join the forum).
Dave McPherson was amazing imo, I'd go as far to say the best 'support' I've seen yet (I've been to like 10 gigs so far
). Like ctfod said we got to hang with him plenty of times, and... I made a skullet hat which he decided to wear during Bring him home, Violet pretty much fell onto the floor laughing xD. It was hilarious, 20% stand up comedy indeed! He did plenty of requests, pretty much all of them on the fly and challenging, and there was freakin awesome crow participation (think the choir in Juular, the "aw aw aw aw aw" in Christeen, HEY HEY in Vampira and the whole crowd singing :3 ).
Faffy passed her camera to me and I took a video of the whole thing up to I think the end of Ki, where the mem card filled up. No idea about the sound quality, I think it sounds like Piece was behind me (sorry for sticking my Ziltoid flute in the way of your camera :X ) and the amp was right in my face so *shrug* gotta wait for Faffy to see how the vids are.
I had to go back to my hotel after the gig, and came back maybe half way through the DJ? My friend didn't have her ID which sucked, but I caught Detox. My favourite SYL song? In a club full of Devin fans? After a gig? With him karaoke-ing the chorus?? Perfect end to a perfect night, I'd say xD BUT THAT CLUB WAS THE MOST SWEATY PLACE EVER xD
Again it was wonderful seeing you guy's I'd seen before and meeting new peeps. I was the one with the shortness, jewhawk and OM shirt.
