I've been waiting a year for the guitar to come out, and my GAS just had to be quenched, so I just put in an order for a Schecter Blackjack ATX C-8.

I'm getting it in a Walnut finish.

It's only got a 26.5 inch scale, but with it being down at F# by standard, I doubt I'm going to be doing much detuning on it anyway - well, maybe a half-step...

Anyway, I can't wait, and those Seymour Duncan blackjack pickups make EMGs sound like crap!

I'll still buy Dev's sig when it comes out, but I doubt that Peavey are going to have it out soon, as they keep telling people that it will be coming out, then not releasing it when they say they will. However, I would rather they work out all the bugs before release, and hold off a few months to get it perfect!

Nothing against Peavey though, as I just bought a Peavey bass today from a guy who was selling it locally. It's a Grind 5, and look a bit like this:

Oh yeah, and I think I'm going to be ordering a Mikael Åkerfeldt Sig PRS. I've always wanted a PRS, and I tried one out at a local store, and just fell in love with it. It's only an SE, but it plays like a dream!

Well I pre-ordered Devy's signature Peavey and what's going on is it's on back order. I imagine there must have been a lot of orders for it, presuming that they have to make enough for all the shipments. I am still waiting on mine to come in.

They won't be released until sometime in September, is the word. They aren't really on back order since they haven't even been released yet. Until they are officially announced for sale by Peavey, they technically don't even exist. They won't be filling any orders until they are announced for sale.

Oh really? I hadn't heard the September date. I asked Peavey on Twitter a few weeks ago, and they told me first week of July, which then came on went.

Well, September could be good. I might have saved up enough money again by then. Well, I have to find a job first, but that's just a small detail

So September and beyond! Can't wait. No i just need a job and $1200.

If $1200 is the RRP, it'll probably go for just under a grand US, and just over CAD. Dealers never sell at the RRP.

Not yet, unfortunately. Because I am in Canada I've had to make a special order for it from the States. I'm hoping it'll be here in a couple of more weeks. I'll be sure to post pics
