That's what I mean. Online festival.

Have one venue or selection of pubs stream it live in each participating country, and have it available live online for anyone else who can't get to the event, or the pub events.

Having camera's at each major participating place on screens at the actual gig, with a light show synced to whatever the Dev's setlist is (it's always played to a click anyway), that way it lets everyone be part of the experience, and the band can see what's going on to bounce off the other venues too.

Admittedly, it's probably not cost effective, but it's almost bridging the gap between reality and virtual reality.
I should really stop thinking shite so much

that's not shit, that's a really cool idea :P but it's still like watching it home behind your computer isn't it? but i think this is a great concept, i guess it would be much cheaper for dev so more of the money is real gain :)

yess!!!
again another dev show at Tuska!
oh the joy and happiness!

this makes this panda veeeeeeery very happy.
last Tuska was so insanely awesome, and I really thought getting Dev back in such short schedule would be out of the question, but seems that I was finally wrong!
Saw him two times last year, and will see him again this year..
Coooooooooooolll!

14th annual Tuska Open Air Metal Festival now taking place at the new venue of Suvilahti, Helsinki, Finland, during July 22.-24. is drawing nearer. A special occasion will be witnessed on Saturday July 23rd as Anneke Van Giersbergen will team up as a guest vocalist with the day’s headliners Devin Townsend Project.

:D :D :D :D :D

I'm a bit worried about the setlist of this headliner gig. The current setlists have been more or less along the same trend as the past two Finland-gigs (not to mention that compared to the former Tuska gig coupled with the Ziltoid-experiment, there weren't really that many new songs) so I think more variation would be nice. Anything from Deconstruction would be appreciated (hell, play the whole thing), but as there will ultimately be other stuff, I hope most of it won't clash with earlier songs. Not to say that I wouldn't enjoy a concert like that, it would be just as awesome as before (even more so with Anneke <3), but many people are coming to see the gig expecting fresh material.

And some people even went to all the previous gigs, counting both concerts from the earlier tour!

He has done Juular and Stand recently so I'm not concerned that I will not be in for some new stuff although I saw him 3 months ago. Anneke is a welcomed addition. So that adds to the variety.

I really don't want to spoil the gig by watching clips from songs performed recently, especially of Deconstruction.

Hope he changes the set list a lot, but i guess we'll be hearing lot of Addicted, since Anneke is there. Though, I will shit in my pants if they'll play Awake. Would be also great to hear some "surprice" song from Ocean Machine, like Seventh Wave last summer.

Ah, Awake!! would be just fantastic. And I guess Anneke could do Floor's parts from Pandemic for example?

Tarja could hop in to do the guest vocals for Pandemic. I mean she lives nearby.
