It's low-budget, but it's a fucking beautiful song.

Lots of Pain of Salvation, old school:

From 12:5, Reconciliation

What the hell happened to this beautiful music...where is it

I don't know. I try not to think about it too much because I'll end up sobbing. They've been going in a different direction with every album since BE, which is fine - makes their live shows more eclectic, they're progressive...I get it. Road Salt, however, sounds like it's from a totally different band. A 70's hippie band I'd normally overlook with a 70's production style.

Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier

yes I know I'm weeks behind the rest of you cats, but I don't do downloading and have been a bit borassic of late so only finally got my hands on a copy today.

Am listening to it for the fourth time now and still trying to get my head round it. It's pretty much all really good, it's just ... so un-Maidenish. There are Maiden elements I guess but there are so many really unexpected styles and bits. They really seem to have pushed the boat way out in terms of creativity on this one. Very successfully I think so far. It's just taking me a while to adjust my head to it.

Yeah, yeah.
It's a welcome distraction while waiting vehemently for "Victims of the Modern Age".
It also musically summarizes my current mood pretty well.

96.3 Rock Radio.

Why is there more rock/metal on a local 'classic rock' station than on Kerrang? Why is Kerrang Radio so terrible? Its a separate level of terrible from the magazine.

Answers on your arse cheeks please.

Great move 'round Halloween time. Anytime, really. I let a friend borrow my DVD the other day and I'm going through withdrawals.
Next time I'm in Seattle I'm going to visit his gravesite. He's buried next to his father.
