I'd cry to Trollhammeren as well, out of pure drunken joy.

How could I forget A Monday, though? It is the epitome of emotion. Just thinking about its soothing tones makes me well up.

GOSH, so many...but I am overly emotional guy. Umm...Sister, Funeral, Death of Music, Canada, Nobody's Here, Stagnant (I know, sounds weird. It was the memories), Planet Rain, Sit in the Mountain (overwhelmed by beauty), Processional, Storm, Supercrush (nostalgia), The Way Home (nostalgia), Ki, Terminal, Lady Helen.

The weird thing is, as much as Infinity is my fave, I don't think it has ever made me cry. It just makes me think...way too deeply.

sissy lol

sissy? hahaha

i figured all dev fans were pretty much sissies...except for the ones that hate everything besides SYL.

So true, but to fully appreciate the anger and angst in SYL you really need to be a sissy

ok to fully understand how great this music is let me explain me...im 6'2, 125kgs (not fat), into MMA, metal, powerlifting and ALL of devs music. I lift heavy weights aggressively, I think of myself as a bit of an alpha male.

now that I have gone into that let me say, NOBODIES music touches me like devs does.

Terminal, tiny tears, demon league, the greys and voices in the fan have all made me feel very quiet and reflective, not once but anytime i listen to them. yes they have made me cry, especially when I found out my father had cancer. I would listen to dev, and feel some pretty fucking massive emotions.

sorry my shit spill is over.

I don't typically cry for anything, but there's no question that Dev's music gets me as close to it as anything. Not that it makes me sad or sensitive or anything like that, it just strikes that undefinable emotional connection that only good music can achieve (for me anyways). That's the Dev genius in my mind - being able to reflect so many different emotions into the form of his music. Other artists may be able to master one or two, but he's able to convey anger, sadness, joy, peacefulness, humor, and everything in between...all with equal impact. To be able to do that in the form of music is mindblowing to me. Anyways, here's my list of songs that (almost) make me cry:

Life
Funeral
Bastard
Death of Music
Planet Rain
Deep Peace
Canada
Down and Under
Nobody's Here
Away
Lady Helen
Ki (last part)

Every time I sing along to Things Beyond Things I get misty eyes. It's... dark. The vocal harmonies in the last verse just slay me. I could never stop listening to the song without finishing all the way through the scream, either. It's part of the song, and it's the only proper way to end all that sheer emotion.

"Try it one more time," the studio chatter on Quiet Riot for some reason makes me misty-eyed too. In fact all the studio chatter on Ki does for some weird reason. It's a great touch to the album.

"Bastard" really gets me. When the vocals come in, it's just immense. Oh, and "Nobody's Here" does it, too. It rings of
loneliness. Or, I associate it with feeling lonely.

Devin's music really tends to evoke strong emotion.
