Mood, as mentioned by others, certainly plays a big part, so I decided just by which ones resonated with me most to least, as all DT albums are beautiful.
I don't have, nor have I heard Devlab (yet), so I couldn't add it. Didn't want to add DTP or SYL as they are from different worlds; plus DTP is still ongoing, so.

I bought Ocean Machine recently and holy fuck it is sooo goood!!!
The Holy Trinity now is:

Ocean Machine is amazing.
It's funny, when I bought my copy I got one with the original cover (without Devin Townsend listed atop OM), and no track listing on the back; of course the tracks are on the back of the booklet, except Things Beyond Things wasn't listed. I was perplexed, and nearly went to return it and exchange it for the re-issued copy (whch was a few $$$ more); fortunately I did my research, and found that TBT was a hidden bonus track initially. For some reason, it made me feel my copy was all the more real than if I had purchased the re-issue. That might be the sentamentalist in me though.
