Natural Born Chaos.

I haven't listened to this CD in 4 years according to iTunes. That's really too bad, as it was probably one of my 2 or 3 favorite albums when I was 15. So many good memories freaking my Mom out while learning to drive and blasting Follow the Hollow.

I know where you're coming from. I love that album, and yet it constantly falls from my memory even with all its greatness. I randomly gets hankerings for "Mindfields" or I remember the hilarious line "we know how to spit or swallow" and it makes me want crank the album again. I actually got Figure Number Five about the time I started learning to drive...I suppose Soilwork is a great band to blast while driving!

NP: Coheed and Cambira - Year Of The Black Rainbow
I'm loving this thing. This album is really different for a Coheed album...so much so that it might turn off current fans and interest those who aren't. Their heaviest album yet, and full of industrial elements (due to one of their two producers being Atticus Ross), although it is a little on the loud side. Chris Pennie is a monster, especially on "Guns of Summer."

Anyone longing for some Devy lydian Ki-isms would be wise in checking this out...no vocals, but mouth wateringly beautiful.

I listened to that album just the other day--I used to love it, along with A Predator's Portrait and The Chainheart Machine. My primary listenings were driving around in high school after I got my license, too. I guess that's just the nature of the beast.

Soilwork are easily the greatest lyricists of all time, though.

A Predator's Portrait was heavy as hell, but maintained those hooks that keep listeners coming back for more. I always loved that about it. It and NBC are equally my two favorite releases of theirs.
