Phase wrote:Not to be "That guy", but a few of the setlists you guys have suggested would require constantly switching guitars, sometimes every other song. I know that doesn't take a huge amount of time, but getting three musicians to change instrument, plug it in, check it is tuned correctly, then get ready to play. It can slow a set down. This could just be me going "OMGZ" about it, though...

Here's mine. COMPLETELY unrealistic but... oh well, a boy can dream for at least some of it! This is more of a "I have roughly two hours to live with my Dev CDs for company, what will soundtrack this?" list...

Namaste
Seventh Wave
The Fluke
Slow Me Down
Voices in the Fan
Ocean Machines
Night
Ih-Ah!
Hide Nowhere
Deep Peace
Universal
Ki
Quiet Riot
Red Tomorrow
Supercrush!
Noisy Pink Bubbles
Hyperdrive
Earth Day
Dynamics

Encore:
Bastard
Sit in the Mountain
Things Beyond Things

This may be a little left-field but I think it'd be utterly amazing if you did Pig from the Vai album. Just imagine the power of that song coming out of the current live lineup!

This is an impossible request, there's just too many brilliant songs to choose from! I tried anyways and this is what I came up with:

Truth
Mountain
Universe In A Ball
Kingdom
Supercrush
Deadhead
Deep Peace
Triumph
Dynamics
Color Your World
Namaste
Bastard
Life
Sunset

Encore:

Regulator
Storm
Sit in the Mountain

I guess one logical way to tackle this problem is to have two different tours, one heavy and one mellow/acoustic. that way we all get to see Dev twice (awesome!) and Dev gets paid twice for each city he visits. Or he can just do what he did on the 1999 tour and have multiple short sets showcasing each dynamic.

thedesert wrote:Ok, so, I made a 90 minute setlist for you Dev...I tried to order the songs based around songs that build the crowd up, reel them back in, build them back up again for a big finish...I know I'd be having rapture-seizures at any rate...I've tried to include as much as you already play now to minimize the stress of learning new material again. Hope you guys like it!

1. Truth - 3:58

2. Storm - 4:38

3. Regulator - 5:06

4. Kingdom - 5:55

5. ZTO - 1:18

6. By Your Command - 8:10

7. Hyperdrive - 3:48

8. Deep Peace - 7:35

9. Stagnant - 5:26

10. Bastard - 10:17

11. Disruptr - 5:49

12. Addicted - 5:36

13. Nibz (Supercrush!) - 5:11

14. Numbered - 4:54

15. Ki - 7:21

16. Gaia - 6:03

17. Sit in the Mountain - 3:16 [one of my all time favourites, and would be AMAZING to encore on]

Total time = 90 minutes!

This is the set I would've suggested for the most part. I'd probably swap out Ki for Gato, because I love the way Disruptr translated live back in January, and probably throw depth Charge in somewhere. This would be great setlist for the north american headlining tour in the fall hint hint!

Just play Terria straight through.

And then Ki.

And I'll be set for life. 8)

I'm going to try and come up with a good order... I don't know how the songs will flow but it's a basic idea. And crap I just realized the changing guitar issue -_- My order probably needs to be fixed

Have Unity playing as the show begins and you're getting ready

Truth(it always seemed like a PERFECT opener)- 3:59

OM- 6:18

Sit in the Mountain- 3:16

***MOUNTAIN***- 6:33

Earth Day- 9:30

then slow it down a bit...

Deep Peace- 7:35

Lady Helen- 6:05

Terminal or Ki- 7

Pick it up...

Voices in The Fan(once you get that choir you want :D)- 4:40, otherwise NIGHT, please!

Traveller or Slow Me Down- Around 4

The Way Home!- 3:13

this passes the hour mark by a couple minutes...

Hypergeek>Triumph- 9:30

Funeral- 8

leave stage, ENCORE ENCORE!!!

Kingdom or Supercrush!- 4:30ish

The Greys- 4:15

And then as your big finale

Tiny Tears- 9:15 (Stagnant, Life or Bend it Like Bender! if you wanna end happy, Down and Under could work too )

Could use more Ziltoid and I definitely seem to like Terria the most. Passed 90 minutes by a few

Here's mine, it was hard to keep it 90 minutes, which not including the encore it almost is. :p And, I'm unsure of your preferences on how often you have to change instruments and what not, but I tried to keep it so you're not switching every other song. I just realized I didn't have any Ziltoid on there, but I guess I'd add Solar Winds or Hyperdrive if you want more mellow, or By Your Command or Color Your World for heavy.

Planet Rain would be such an incredible encore.

I didn’t realize how tough this would be!! Also, very cool that you are taking input from the fans for the songs we’d like to see live, thanks! :)
There are way too many, so here’s just some of my fav’s from each album that I would love to see one or any of live.
Also, some of my choices leave out some of your live staples, only because I’ve seen them live before, but they still rule!

Ocean Machine: Seventh Wave, Night, Bastard

Infinity: Christeen, Dynamics

Physicist: The Complex, Irish Maiden

Terria: Mountain, Canada, The Fluke, Nobody’s Here, Stagnant

Accelerated Evolution: Storm, Deadhead, Suicide, Sunday Afternoon

Synchestra: Triumph, Gaia, Judgement

ZTO and Ki: the ones you are currently doing are sweet

Addicted: Ih-Ah and the Way Home

Hope to see some of these live, if not, it's still going to rule, always does Dev! Thanks!!

wow, 90 minutes only? Can't you just start in the afternoon, have a small break for dinner and continue on into the evening? :)

Life
Hide Nowhere
Namaste
Noisy Pink Bubbles
Dynamics
Om
Detox
AAA
Truth
Earth Day
Traveller
Addicted
Supercrush

There's a gap in the middle where I've missed a few albums as I took a short hiatus to move to Brisbane, get married, start a business as a naturopath and organics peddler, lose my metal friends circle, realise what i was missing and get back into it. These are my favies :) So glad to be back.
Is anyone still on here from the OOOOOOOld ICQ list from the 90's?? It's jen aka Drizzlehell if there's anyone left. Morgiah I'm looking at you ;)

Jen xx
