Jeff Loomis - Zero Order Phase

I never really gave this album a proper shot. I just thought it was very wanky on my first few listens, I guess. There's some really good (and intense) shit on it, though. Loomis is definitely one of the most technically proficient guitarists I've ever enjoyed hearing.

I really like that he doesnt stick to one kind of scale or anything like that. A lot of the album has some serious wank, but songs like Shouting Fire At A Funeral and Jato Unit have some really interesting stuff going on in them. Cant say too much about the rest of the album, those are really the only 2 I like to listen to...though Miles of Machines has an amazing intro.

Fear Factory - Demanufacture... but then the instrumental version from the Carmageddon soundtrack (which is quite different from the album version). Epic.

Pantha Du Prince - Black Noise - The Splendour

Surprisingly airy and wonderful techno/electronica. :D
