For some reason everyone got big in the 90s forgot to pay their respects to the Replacements when they were namedropping their influences.

Textures - Drawing Circles

Textures needs about 1,000 more plays on Last.fm to catch up with SYL. Let's do this shit.

Oceansize - Feed To Feed: Effloresce

Oceansize needs about 100 tracks to catch up with Opeth on my Last.fm charts.

I've listened to these guys, too. They really know how to get crazy, but without letting things go all over the place.

If my Scrobbles ever worked right, that would be easy peasy from my end. Like, within 3 days.

Yeah, tell me about it. I've been listening to some of their older stuff online, but it just doesn't have the same balance of ambiance and math rock that Planet of Ice does. The only other tunes of theirs that have appealed to me so far are a handful from Menos el Oso and the two from the Into the Mirror EP they put out not too long ago.

Designing is one of the best songs on that album, that polyrhythmic verse part still fucks with my head. I need to learn the counting for it.
