I guess I care more about playing comfort than about looks, perhaps in the same way that I wouldn't go for a beautiful woman who is horrid in the sack. :P (edit- this is the worst analogy ever)

I guess what I'm trying to say is that Dev's signature 7-string is far from the ugliest guitar I've ever seen and I definitely won't dismiss it because of a quirky haircut and deviant choice in clothing.

Well that's probably wise, going by your avatar pic.

Whatever you say there, Mickey.

String through is great!

I've been meaning to ask for a while actually: do you have the Rupert the Bear trousers to go with that scarf?

I wish!

In all honesty that picture was taken a few years back in mid-winter during a recording session with the band and I had a bad cold. That was the warmest scarf available. Also kinda proves how little I care about my own aesthetics, muaha.

Anyway, how does it usually go with these signature models? Are they shipped to Peavey dealers all over the world, or do I need to go to an official Peavey distributor and ask if they would please help me find one?

you'll more than likely have to do a special order locally thru your Peavey Dealer, or you might get lucky and find one online. Most of the major retailers are slow to add new stuff (this probably won't be "available" officially till the summer/fall considering thats how long it took Peavey to get the 6505+ 1x12 combo in stores last year), but you might be able to get it thru a dependable online store, like a drum city guitar land or Carlinos, except none of those guys carry peavey...

if I see one I will post the info here. It's not fair to not share that info with people who deserve to know about it, and more importantly, will buy one!

Think i might actually get one of these once they are available. I like the string through design and the extra pick up could be useful! Not overly sold on the headstock but thats of little importance really compared to the look of the body itself, stunning! Then again im a huge V fan!

I'm getting one because it's great value for the spec. Yes, I'm a massive Devy fan-boy and shall be glad to support him in a small way by purchasing this guitar but it's mostly the fact it's a great guitar (I'm sure) for a great price.

I also caught Dev's acoustic set for Alvarez. He's as hilarious as he is talented!

Can you comment on the thickness of the neck?

I'm buying one of these the day they are released, for sure. Just sold off my 8-string specifically to buy one of these beasts

Unfortunately I was told that we may not see them hit stores until around May
