i was determinded to not go to a festival this year after 5 years of downloads. which the last 2 years have been pretty pants.

but now dev is playing bloodstock!

if they bust single day tickets for next year ill def be there, but i cant be doing a full on festival slog again this year. i must have already cut my life expectency in half. (and my ability to spell aswell)

on a side note: behemoth are there, yay!

Well there's your problem! I've heard nothing but bad things about Download, so I've never been (and you'll never catch me paying the best part of £200 for a ticket. Christ no.)

Have you ever been to Bloodstock? If not, it's far smaller than Download (though granted, it's getting bigger), and far cheaper - £85 for the whole weekend before 15th December (£95 afterwards). It's totally worth it, the atmosphere is always more intimate and friendly (hell, you get an incredible view of the stage wherever you stand) and I'm looking forward to my fifth festival there. :D

I think this is my favourite pic that I took

Cradle of Filth's drummer.

I'd love to be able to say "Yeah, I'll escort a few of you guys backstage" but I don't know until the day whether or not the artist wants it or we're too busy to accommodate it. (Europe this year didn't even want us stage crew backstage... They wanted a COMPLETELY closed set! Screw that, you're musicians performing. And we have a job to do ;) )

That would be too cool. But I'd probably be too shy to be around all the hard work..!

I'd not really considered Bloodstock before, but i'll definitely be going now. Can't wait.

It's a shame Dev'll be sub-headlining though - hopefully it's still a long set!
