They're nothing like Dir En Grey, and I'd be dead surprised if anyone on the board other than me ends up liking them.

You're going to want to look more at D'espairs Ray.

Actually, found the song "Colors of the Heart" and pretty much loved it. Dunno what it is about J-rock bands but I'm really intrigued by their attitude and music. They will do anything in their music it seems, and I think that's why I'm drawn to it.

Yeah, they will. And they're REALLY good at it. And they're NOT pretentious about it. They're about fun.

Also they freely exercise the hip hop influence.

Anyone interested in UVERworld should grab the album "PROGlution" first and listen to it twice. If you like that, you'll like UVERworld.
