3 days until I go to Paris.
105 hours and 15 minutes.
378,900 seconds.

Until I.
Go to Paris.

I can't sleep. I'm too exhilarated by maths.

Writing new music, pretty cool tapping stuff across all strings. If I finish it anytime soon I'll record it!

So I guess Gavin Harrison doesn't cut it? :?

Garrison never stood out for me.

But I have to admit that I've never been a fan of PT.

I think Gavin's drumming is real... subtle most of the time, but he's a great drummer, he really stands out on Anesthetize and Harmony Korine for example. Could be interesting with Porntoy though. Thanks for ze info DSD!

Fair enough. If you're not into PT to begin with, than I guess you wouldn't be bouncing off the walls about their drummer making guest appearances. :)

No problem.
Everything about Portnoy is "interesting." I love the guy, but he's the epitome of the "crazy drummer."

Meeeh, I get bored of Portnoy sometimes. Yes, he's a very good drummer, but when I can listen to a song that I've never heard before and tell you exactly how the drum fills will go and where the cymbal and bass drums will fall, I feel he's lost hist ouch a little.

How ever, there are still somebits in songs I've heard hundreds of times that surprise me, so maybe I'm just a dick.

I hate Portnoy, he's such a dick. He always talks about how he has OCD, because when he likes a band he has to own everything that they've released. He seriously thinks he has OCD, and it's an insult to people that actually suffer from that. And yeah, he's also the most stale and uncreative drummer ever, if you just listen to one DT album you've heard everything Portnoy's ever done.

Oh really? I'm more of a casual Dream Theater listener (I like some of their stuff quite a bit, but I regard them differently than say... Townsend) so I don't know all of Portnoy's work. I think he's really fun to listen to, but I'm not a drummer  I do however, think that Portnoy's vocals add a lot of bottom to LaBrie's.... intense and trill voice  It's a litte much for me sometimes!

Didn't know that. He probably doesn't mean it out of disrespect, but uses the term more colloquially. But, I don't know the man, so who knows.

Money problems, never having enough time, not being able to be in 8 places at once, phone going gammy, grandmother having major surgery, college work taking up way too much time, not getting enough work, not sleeping properly. Fuck.
