OH THOSE ARE AMAZING.

I just went to four different Sainsbury's trying to find an open supermarket to find last minute Mother's Day Flowers, all closing as I arrived...EXCEPT FOR COLLIER'S WOOD. Closed at 5pm. I got there at 4.50 8) Saved the day.

I didn't bother with the flowers bit. Myself and kids took my Mum out to an old 18th century Inn up in the hills for a traditional High Tea. My daughter says she won't be able to eat for a week. She had a full meal of fillet of haddock accompanied by tea and toast, cakes, scones, pancakes, jam and topped off by a small bag of chocolates on the table. We're all stuffed. It was indeed awesome! Also the views out the window up there are equally awesome.

Periphery posted a new version of "The Walk" with the new vocalist. FINALLY they realized that not all their songs need crappy pop clean vocals vomited all over them.

You know what fuckin rules?

A new OSI CD is coming out in April. OSI is a collaboration between Kevin Moore, a former keyboardist from Dream Theater... "Awake," "Images and Words," and so on, and Jim Matheos of Fates Warning.

ANYWAYSSSS... the CD 'Blood' is up on burningshed for preorder - so I scored it. Gavin Harrison, Mikael Akerfeldt and Mike Portnoy are featured on it too. Awesome. 8)

^ Yes. It's going to be freaking awesome.

If Moore's previous CD's are any indication of this next one - well, I'm really excited about it. GAVIN HARRISON! YES!

Portnoy? :(

There were rumours that it would have Mark Heron from Oceansize on drums. Damn fine drummer with an amazing style.

"Alternating between subtly atmospheric and brutally aggressive elements, while effortlessly
transcending barriers between a variety of genres, Blood is the compelling third release from the exceptional duo of Jim Matheos (Fate's Warning) and Kevin Moore (Chroma Key, ex- Dream Theater).

Along with Moore and Matheos, Blood features Porcupine Tree drummer Gavin Harrison throughout, and a guest appearance by Opeth's Mikael Åkerfeldt on Stockholm.

No-Man's Tim Bowness sings on the bonus CD track No Celebrations.

With Blood, O.S.I. have succeeded in creating a fascinating album at the cutting edge of Rock, Electronica and Progressive Metal."

^ That's from BurningShed.com I guess I was wrong about Portnoy being on it, it only mentioned he was on previous albums. So I don't know, the info only mentioned Gavin Harrison - who I am not complaining about 8) Oh score! Bowness is on it - which is cool if you like No-Man.
