I can not wait to be rid of George Bush. Let the era of Obama begin!!! :D

Lol.

So sad, that you still think Bush was the cause of all problems, so misinformed!

Well either way, I honestly do hope (and I mean REALLY hope) that Obama does something different. Because his speech today, pretty much reflected on how we need to continue so many things that we already do. Though he did mention that we need to do somethings differently, which I agree with.

Again, not to start an argument...I really hope things change for the better, or else Obama will be under extreme scrutiny for such false promises.

I didn't say that I thought Bush was the cause of all problems :? I just said I'm glad he's gone. Aren't you?! And I'm not misinformed either - where are you getting that?

None of this even matters anyways - Bush and the possee are gone. Obama is the new president - let that be good news in itself.

I dont care if he's gone or not. Obama has A LOT to live up to. His speech today had over tones of continuing things we already have, while just trying to unify the people of this country. He has said so many things over his campaign, yet now he comes out and mentions so much about our forefathers(I have no problem following the things they set forth though).

My point in everything if Obama has so much to live up to, that I dont think he will. I think this country wont have any significant changes made to it in the next 4 years.

Either that or we plunge into socialism...which would be a massive change.

And Nathan is right. Obama does seem more like a celebrity than the most powerful man in the world.

I like you Alucard, but I don't understand why you're telling me this. I've been in America the last 8 years, I know what's going on... and I don't necessarily disagree with you in some respects.

I agree there's a lot of work to be done - things will get worse before they get better. I think it may take a whole term or two, maybe longer to at least begin to fix some of the damage.

As for being a celebrity who's just carrying on Bush's legacy - well, that's just being pessimistic, and premature. The man hasn't even been president for 24 hours, and already people are pointing out what he's doing wrong or is going to do wrong. Let us not try to predict the future or look for reasons to not like this president - I personally feel that a much better use of time and energy would be to keep hope alive.

Anyways, Alucard, I don't mean any disrespect. It's fine for people to agree to disagree.

I dont exactly see the difference between what you just stated, and what a massive majority of this country has done the past 3 years or so. Every single thing Bush did was under ridiculous scrutiny. Remember back on 9-11 when Bush has approval ratings that were through the roof, and he kept them for quite a while? Yea most people who are Obama supporters dont remember that because they have fallen under the thought that Bush has never done anything for our country.

No disrespect taken, I consider it an argument is all.

Let's just leave it alone now - it's a disagreement. I'm secure in my knowledge of many many political issues, both past and present as I'm sure you are. So there's no use in butting heads.

Getting back onto topic, I just noticed something very minute the other day but it kind of bothers me. I have an SWR head and cabinet, but the little metal SWR logo on the head was put on upside down. It really sticks in my craw, even though it doesn't matter in the least

Should look like this:

but it doesn't. Weird.

You could claim it is a YM5? Then people will be all "Oooh, who're they?" And you can be all "A super secret company who only I know!" And then you can cackle.

... And lose all your friends.

EDIT: Thanks to this post, I am now a Tall Latte.... ROCK! :guitar:

Good idea! Hmm... that is if you assume that I had friends....

no I kid; but out of the few people I do consider friends, none will talk bass with me, let alone music. Bunch of turds, they are. Maybe I need new friends. Congratulations on being a Tall Latté!

It doesn't take much to get you going, does it Nathan?! Pipe down - the model I have is discontinued now - I don't know if that's unfortunate, or really cool. But the amp/cab is a whole lots of ass, it sounds so huge. I'm happy with it despite the weirdo upside down logo :?

Heehee - I'll talk my limited knowledge of bass with you! :D And I would kinda like the upside down logo. It would make my laugh at least. Maybe I'm just sad :P
But the bass I have is older than me I think. My dad gave to me it. Its a Marlin Sidewinder. No idea if it's any good or not, poor thing needs a little love. xD

Oh! And it weighs a TON! D:

I am so bored.

Picture this if you will.

I should be in the army right now but my left foot is broken (no need to go to details I can't translate well enough) so they sent me home. As much as I'd hate the military this sucks so much more. I'm a prisoner in my own home. I can't go anywhere until my mum gets home and I get to borrow the car. When I do, I have nowhere to go. All my friends are in the godddamn army.

I'm going back there in six months. If I don't get a job I'll die to boredom. I'm left here to this shitty town with people I don't want to be dealing with but I have no options. Jesus Christ I wish I'd know some actually interesting people. Like myself. Cause I'm awesome. And I'm lonely only because I chose so. ....... fuck me in the ass I'm so fucking bored. I'm an idiot.
