Talk about other artists here (even though they all rip off Meshuggah)

He showed a lot of energy during the 3 new songs they played, all of which sound pretty damn awesome, I cant wait to hear their recorded versions. I could tell he really seemed to like their new stuff more, as did the rest of the band.

Me jealous! :o

Miloopa at venerable Studio of Programme 3 of Polish Radio. Miloopa is live jazzy drum and bass band, which is actually pretty ace - if you associate dnb only with dudes making music off loops you should see what Miloopians do with their instruments. Drummer's a machine, keyboard guy is multitask-compatible, playing on rhodes and trumpet at the same time and bass just peels plaster off the wals. Band's awesomely tight and good with using tons of effects (I like the filter gizmo bassist uses for hoover-like sounds). They're first class and deserve ton of recognition I think.

That was also best sounding gig ever, but well, that's what you can expect by radio's studio (gig was broadcasted).

Millopa looks like that:

(better click on high quality and try not care about hyperactive cameraman)

And sounds like that

Wow, this is really late, but I saw Geoff Tate back in september. The tickets were cheap, and I had
heard on the radio that sales were slow, so I figured what the hell. It was cool to see the show up close in
a little club. The dude can sing like few others live, in my opinion. He had Scott from Queensryche on drums,
and Pamela Moore singing back-up (along with two others), and then a bunch of friends playing guitar, bass, and
keyboards. I'd never heard his solo stuff before. Pretty run-of-the-mill rock, but not too bad. What was really cool is
that he sang some of the more obscure Queensryche stuff. Overall, an enjoyable show. And call me an old geezer,
but it was nice that the volume was at a reasonably low level. I hate it when it's so loud, that you can't tell what's being
said in between songs. He told some funny stories about life in the music business. Also, some drunk guy kept yelling
"play some 'skinard, man", and He just chuckled, gave a thumbs-up, and cracked more jokes. Classy guy is Mr. Tate. :)

Saw The Melvins last night. the support was rather average. Mike Patton came on to do the last song with them and all of a sudden the crowd cared  douchebags. not much time passed after their set and then The Melvins came on

Anyway The Melvins they played all of Houdini live. god damn the venue was so hot even with the AC on full blast. for some reason the band played Honey Bucket twice  . the fellas can still tear up a stage even though theyre getting VERY old. Trevor Dunn was doing bass too which was awesome.

Last small show i saw (at least that i stayed for) was a crust punk show by a band called The Skuds, which was amazing. The last real big show i saw was Dethklok with Chimera (sucked) and Soilent Green (they were ok). The show itself was purely awesome, but the downside was that i couldn't see gene behind his massive drum set and the rest of the band. Also we waited out back but they never came out so i didn't get to meet Gene. :(

My best concert ever though would have to be Megadeth. Hands down. Unfortunately i haven't gotten too many chances to see any shows.

I saw The Prodigy last night. HOTTEST gig ive ever been too. it was a 43 degree day and when we went into the venue it would have been 50 degrees. i was already completely sweaty before they had come on satge  . the support was Quan from the band Regurgitator and it was acctually really awesome. he and his drummer came onstage wearing giant sneakers on their heads  .

Anyway the Prodigy came on after and you could tell the band was feeling the heat. The security guards were working overtime :P . Handing out crates and crates of water while on of them was hosing the crowd down. i was front row center so i got all the pressure of the crowd but got alot of water at least. Keith the singer had to leave the stage for a while because he was exausted from the heat. They played mostly their greatest hits stuff like Breathe, Firestarter, Their Law, Voodoo People, Smack My Bitch Up, Out Of Space, Poison and others as well as a bunch of new songs too. the ones i hadnt heard before were pretty awesome. so the gig finished up and i dont think ONE person in the venue wasnt sweaty. i was completely drenched. amazing gig. i hope the fuckers come again soon but in less brutal heat :P

Cool (not literally). I'm wondering, how much parts they actually perfom live? I know it's dancey music made on all kinds of sick synths, but it has some electro-punk vibe in it, doesn't it. And I think I've seen photos with them with the guitarist.

yeha they have a drummer, bassist and guitarist and they dont do any of that DJ fading in and out crap, they play songs in their entirety which is brilliant

Sepultura were quite great :D Started out with new stuff, then played some old stuff. Tourmanager's birthday so he played a song too, more than 20 tracks on the setlist. Nice :)

i saw a local band called Ninetail play at a shithole bar downtown. They actually are known nationally, cause they toured with Slipknot last year. i work with their drummer which is pretty cool.
