Its my birthday today (its Dec 31 here in Thailand) now Im 23 
Theres a lot of tasty things here in Thailand but let me tell you they also eat some really strange things here. They like to put salt on their fruit when they eat it. They eat pickled mangos, fruit called durian that tastes like farts (when I bit into it the taste really hurt my feelings. I mean why would mother nature want to do something like that to me?), cinnimon buns with ground pork in it. Must be an aquired taste or something.
Right now I also live with two cats that are both named "topaz". hehe. I like this thread. I got a lot of random thoughts.

I've seen people eat durian many times on TV. Personally, I'm not sure I could get past the smell if it's indeed that horrific. I tend to avoid stench.

That is a good rule of thumb - I would tend to avoid stench as well; The fruit smells unpleasant, is covered in spines... seems like something that just shouldn't be eaten. Oh well.

Wow. I couldnt see salt with fruit to be honest, maybe tomato's like Raja said(if you consider them a fruit). I wouldn't mind visiting Thailand though.

My foster parents are cantonese and eat duran frequently. It smells like rotton socks and baby barf, and tastes worse.But my folks will eat it even in ice cream
