Ignore the rather rubbish Ziltoid I attempted there... Its just a bit of fail. xD
It was actually inspired by your avatar heehee :P

If that were a shirt, I would buy it. Actually I woudn't becuase it's a girl size, but I'd but it for my mom and make her wear it.

And I've already heard 2 songs from Insurgentes, and it's amazing. You can hear them on his MySpace:

I'd buy that too, great idea for a shirt!

Wait a second...Devy spelled Devy is a girl?

And Amber, that shirt design is kinda just a little too girly for me, I prefer my band shirts to be manly and/or criptic.

Steven's solo album is kinda like Porcupine Tree, at least from what I've heard. but it's supposed to also have some weird drone parts and other stuff like that.

Yeah how is an SW solo album going to be different from a PT album if it has 2 PT musicians (besides SW) on it?

Can't say I understand the whole SW hype anyway really. The man has written a fine tune or two but not many more.

I'll give this a try anyway.

It does have some droney parts which makes it different than PT's stuff. The songs dont have the heavier bits the more recent PT albums have either.

Wilson honestly produces albums better than most people out there. He and Devin seem to be 2 of the best producers out there. His vocal melodies are incredible, the textures his music has are incredible. He's like a more mellow version of Dev if you want to put it that way.

I'm willing to settle on the production part.

On a random point, there are only a few drummers I can recognise by style alone.

Mike Portnoy (THAT MAN FILLS ME WITH RAGE!) becuase of his whole 'Hey, lookit me, I'm playing in 153/11. ¬¬

Thomas Lang. Just... Just why?

Lars Ulric, but that's be cause I learnt to play to a long of Metallica songs. Which has left me with a lot of his 'THIS IS SNARE' feeling.

And, finally, Gene, that lovely big bear man. (Not in a gay way. I mean, mostly. It's man love. Guy crush? Am I going into this too much?) I just love how chunky all his drumming sounds.

Nah, I think I'm just not that cool. xD
And there could always be a cape print on the back of the shirt, heehee. :P

That "Love?" shirt ought to say "Fuck it." on the back.

Indeed.

I think you could handle it. Why not put some material together and contact the Dev? There aren't too many DT/SYL shirts.

Ooh Win! I like the "fuck it" idea, since I'm one to agree with that sentiment. You're right, there aren't many DT or SYL shirts... there need to be more...

AAAMMMMMBBBEERRRR??!! * looks in your direction*
I agree, I think you ought to make a portfolio and hook Dev up with some neato shirt designs :P

Hey Nathan, I'm stuck with wearing mens' shirts often, because not a lot of band shirts come in women's sizes - I think you could be bothered to wear a woman's shirt for once, eh?

I'm totally kidding :D

I bet you're not kidding :P

And neato? I haven;t heard that word in ages. it rocks haha! I took up calling people Plebs recently
I suppose I could draw up some designs and such, but I wouldn't know how to get them to him, and also, I probably wouldn't have the guts
And Phase - anything fills you with rage. xD

ALL THIS TIME, I HAVE WAITED WITH RAGGEEEEEE

But yeah, I hate him too. He's just so fucking irritating. And he can single handedly be blamed for Dream Theater's decline.

Thomas Haake, Morgan Agren, Gavin Harrison, Stef Broks...all easily recognizable.

Agreed. It seems a quality of some drummers that they have to be douches (see also Ulrich).

Mike Portnoy, Ryan van Poederooyen, Gene Hoglan, Lars Ulrich, Tony Royster, Jr., Neil Peart, John Bonham, and Martin Lopez are a few drummers that stick out (off the top of my head) as having awesomely recognizable styles.

It could just be that I listen to the bands they play(ed) for a lot.
