Finally get to hear Opeth's cover of "Would?" The sample sounds sooo good!

Holy crap! I didn't know anything about this!

But now I can't wait, it's going to be so rad! December 9th - so close, yet so far away...

Man, you'll save alot of money that way. Well not alot, but some. Or none. What's a guitar tech?

I'm going to disagree with you. I think the instrumentation made the song sound fuller, and I quite like how Mike has made the song sound a little more laid back. I love Layne Staley's aggressiveness on the song, but the Opeth version I think was well-executed.

Now, if you want to hear a BAD version, just let me find my old tapes of my band in Korea. We covered "Would?" in '97, and it was awful. We nailed the solo, though. :P

Well not a tech, but turn it in to the store who sold me the guitar. They do all kinds of shizzle. But yeah the intonation on the seventh string is near perfect now, used sandpaper (very fine sandpaper :|) for fixing the nut. I can't get the saddle any further down though :p

but consider this, whats the deal with no "wooOOoOoOOoOooooold" at the start of the song too. that sets the tone for the song so well and when that bit was non existant for the opeth version i instantly thought, fuck this is gona be crap

If that store sold it to you recently, they'll have to fix it with no fee. They have to deliver proper goods, and provide some sort of warranty in case of a construction fault or something.

Yeah, but don't think it's a construction fault or something. Everywhere I've read people have to fix the nut on the RG7321. I don't mind, I fixed it myself! I win.

Yous guys don't like the Opeth cover? I think it sounds chunky as hell - really filled out. I mean, the original is great, but I kinda think that this cover really does it justice. And while Akerfeldt's voice is different from Staley's, it's still awesome and works well with this cover.

Anyways, just IMO.
