yeah it was same with my school. christian brothers school. no long hair past the shoulders and if it was it had to be tied up. no hair colour besides the natural ones like blonde or brunette. no dreadlocks either but for some reason one of the school sports captains got to have em... fucking hipocites

My little brothers school has that hair rule as well.. Where hair "isn't allowed to be seen to be hanging below the collar of ones shirt" I think is the exact wording in their journal. There's a guy in Third Year there who hair down to the small of his back, and he cleverly noted the shitty wording and he tucks it in around his neck and down his shirt, but leaves little bits poking out of the gaps between buttons and down at the end just so the principal gets exceptionally pissed every time he sees him.

And not to inject the HevyDevy Random Doodad thread with politics again, but I went to an Obama rally today, and holy S-word can that man leave an impression. Very well-spoken, but doesn't sugar-coat his words. Very calm and collected, but knows how to connect with a crowd and make a point. Plus, in the time one had to wait for him to take the stage, the arena's PA system was playing some groovy motown and funk tunes (with the occasional lame "all-American" country song thrown in for good measure).
